The GOP is so full of hypocrisy on their "sanctity of life" BS. In Arizona, the Republican governor has basically condemmed several transplant patients to death just to save a few bucks. The GOP fully supports wars in which innocent civilians are killed by drones and bombs; they just call it collateral damage.
However, if a woman chooses to exercise her constitutionally protected right to a safe, legal abortion they call her a murderer and attempt to subject her to humiliating tests, waiting periods, parental consent, etc. just to score political points with their base.
It's sick.
Republicans have no trouble letting people outside the womb die because they can't afford medical insurance but they get ludicrously full of over the top venom about an early abortion.
Birth control fails. You have no right to overrule my response to that failure in the name of your religious and moral beliefs. I don't care what you believe or how you feel about this issue. In my religion and my belief system an early abortion is regretful but not criminal. I should get to listen to the dictates of MY conscience not YOURS.

So for all of the carrying on, no real change. Turns out the unnecessary ultrasounds pro-abortion folks were carrying on about have been done all along. The only thing we're quibbling over is whether or not the woman must see it.
You are the one refusing to accept facts. An abortion takes the life of a human, plain and simple. It's murder.
OK, prove it. Post links to any federal or state statutes, court cases or any relevant evidence that backs up your assertion that a legal abortion is murder.

A trisomy is not a human being. An ectopic is not a human being. An anacephalic baby is not a human being. One fifth of all pregnancies end in miscarriages. Are you going to investigate each and every single woman who has one?
An abortion is an act of self defense and a judgement each woman must make. Your fanatical views do not and should not enter into the matter.
So you are saying the ultrasounds are in fact necessary to perform the abortion. Then there is no extra cost involved, as many were saying we should send the bills to anti-abortion folks. The only thing we're quibbling about is whether or not the woman sees it.

If it were up to me we would have a National Level vote of all registered voters and winner takes all and the issue cannot be voted on again for 50 years, you up for that?

If you base your views of what's right and wrong on "laws" you will be lead down a pretty poor path anyways. The worst crimes in human history were all "legal." Besides, the supreme court once ruled tomatoes are vegetables and not fruit, contrary to scientific facts.

Sorry, just not true. "Often" undergoing an untrasound to determine dates is not the same thing as mandating an ultrasound, and forcing a woman to watch it to try and change her mind.

You were the one carrying on about the expense and sending anti-abortion people the bills. It now turns out there is no additional expense as they've been done all along, despite at least one poster assurance's that they are not.
In order for you to have your wish you would have to have Roe v Wade repealed. As it is horribly bad law I think that would be great. The issue should be given back to where it belongs, namely the individual states.

Did you refer to your mother as "your host body" as a child? How cold. How icy cold. She was your mother from the moment you were conceived.
The fetus is a living human, and though small, from the very instant of conception, everything is determined about her, from hair color, to eye, color, body type, personality, height, intelligence, talent, etc; everything (7th grade biology). Her flesh is separate from her mothers, and it is likely she has a different blood type.
She may look strange to you for a while. But she is developing rapidly into a recognizable human person, with fingers, toes, nose, mouth. She may suck her thumb as well.
Yes, it's a "fetus" ... so what? We call the baby a "fetus" right up to the time she is born.
Isn't it interesting that if we can call it something else (fetus) we can pretend it is nothing. Right? Sick, indeed!
Yes, she was my mother and I am alive because she WANTED a child.
Now, if she did not want a child, and had aborted me, I would not know and I would not care, would I?
If my mother was forced to have me against her will, I am sure that fact would make me sick and would haunt me forever. I would not want to be born under those circumstances and I would not want to put a burden like that on any child.
If I was not wanted, even by my own mother, or if I had been born into and raised in poverty, or if I was born disabled in any way, I would rather have been aborted.
The thought of someone forcing my mother to carry a pregnancy against her will is what makes me sick.....sick indeed!
