Yep, politics and politicians in a nut-shell. Republican or Democrat. I only hope and pray that THIS time around, the "Young Turks" are really serious about bringing sanity to fiscal policy. They better...as the birds are coming home to roost. And it ain't a pretty sight.

Oh yeah, here is the honorable "The Queen" Sheila Jackson-Lee in an earlier episode of her illustrious career:

The Insider - Page 1 - News - Houston - Houston Press

For the record, I am NOT a Republican. Just a conservative Southern "Jeffersonian" Independent.

Was she ill-informed when she asked if the Mars Rover
would show video of where the astronauts planted the flag?

Watching this video gives me further evidence that I could never go into politics. I hate people talking while I'm talking or over me, especially after they've asked me a question. I'd lose all of my home training and revert right back to a smart mouthed teenager.

As far as her comment; she said her constituents were ill-informed about the hospitals and medical centers that are closing ...well are the medical centers and hospitals closing?

Depends on the subject, I would think?
Are you a US citizen? Are you ill-informed?

Republicans rip on Sheila Jackson Lee because her constituents are poor and uneducated. The politician with the poorest and least educated constituency is always the easiest target.

And now here it is 2011, the Republicans have a super-majority here in Texas and they STILL rail against her. Conservatives, can't you rail against someone or something that is relevant for a change?

The US electorate is hugely misinformed bordering on mental retardation.

You don't spend much time on civics and current events do you?
