Well, maybe mildly cruel. The squirrels don't get injured from a ride like that. They're accustomed to falling out of trees and getting up to run away.
There's a difference between raising cattle and humanely slaughtering them for FOOD (and the same goes for fishing) and baiting innocent squirrels for ONLY your sick pleasure.
Squirrel didn't look innocent to me, looked like he was trespassing.
My grandfather traps squirrels, spraypaints their tail bright orange, and sets them free. Being caught twice is punishable by death.
Interesting that some on here have such "massive" problems with squirrels. Never had problems with squirrels. My parents have two houses, no fear of fires with squirrels. All of my friends live in houses, no problems with squirrels. My co-workers, no problems. There are mass amounts of squirrels running around in our city & in the suburbs, up north, etc. & yet I've heard not one person complain of squirrels. The only thing I've heard people say is how the squirrels eat the bird food. So I'm thinking these "problems" are really not problems at all & just excuses for people to kill animals. Kind of tells you a lot of what type of person they are, doesn't it?
You assume a lot for not knowing the facts.
Ask any fireman. They know the dangers.
It's not an excuse, it a reason.
Squirrels train easily. They keep coming back. The one that I finally got out of my attic toured the eaves around my roof line looking for another spot to enter. I followed him with a slingshot until he got the message. Back at the hole he chewed, he fell for the free pecans I put in the humane trap. And they travel in pairs, ya know.
Has been said that squirrels are just rats with fluffy tails So therefore for those that get a warm, fuzzy feeling of protection for squirrels whats your solution for dealing with these cuties http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6A-Op...eature=related
Lets make the catapult much larger and place the creator of this in it so he gets the same velocity and altitude... and I would think it is perfectly humane..... and not cruel at all to do it to him. He can reason and realize what is about to happen... perfectly humane.
It depicts a squirrel being launched, at rather high speeds.
I'm not going to deny, it makes me laugh, hard, every time I see it. BUT is it cruelty? Or is the person simply getting rid of a pest? Incidently, I've eaten squirrels, they are quite tasty. I also have fed them peanuts with my kids...Key Elton Johm......The Ciiirrrrrrrcle of Lifeeeeeeeeee
Decide for yourself. I don't think the squirrel died.
DOn't CLick if you can't handle watching a squirrel flying at Mach 2.
Launch yourself or your kid and tell me if it's cruelty.
I swear, some humans really, really don't need to be on this planet.
