Another thing that is unprecedented - I don't ever remember this number of states joining forces to have stricken and unconstitutional law passed by congress and the WH.
"Today's decision affirms the view, held by most of the states and a majority of the American people, that the federal government should not be in the business of forcing you to buy health insurance and punishing you if you don't," he said. "It's not only unconstitutional, it's also unaffordable. This health care law remains a major source of uncertainty for small businesses, which is why all parties involved should request that this case be sent to the U.S. Supreme Court for a swift and fair resolution."
It appears the dems forgot to put in a "severability" clause in obamacare.
Frankly, I prefer the government. For one you actually can beat them in a lawsuit, it happens all the time with disability claims. They also don't have anywhere near the incentive insurance companies do to raise rates, and not pay out claims since the big wigs need to win elections and obviously don't care about profitability.
People claim this all the time, that families are ruined due to medical reasons. I've only seen anecdotal evidence. Do you have info on how many bankruptcies are related to health care/insurance? If so, so share.
You can't "force" people to buy a product. That's what makes the entire thing unconstitutional. How about tort and cross state reforms. How about mandating a limit on management costs which have been engineered to suck cash out of the system. Why is some guy (who isn't a doctor) approving procedures based on bottom lines while making $1m+ a year for doing so.
Let's fix what's really broken!
Much better to have a guy who is a doctor ordering unnecessary procedures and prescribing medicines for which the doctor benefits financially. No need for any oversight of the doctor.
Good luck with a lawsuit against an insurer, you will likely be arguing against the same, well paid lawyers that wrote your policy, and know it inside-out. Also considering the GOP is very keen on pushing for "tort reform" if they had there way you wouldn't be able to sue even if you could find a lawyer to take your dog of a case. Additionally, good luck switching companies if 85% of the market in your state is controlled by 1 insurer, or you get your policy through your job.
The world is full of great attorneys that do nothing BUT sue insurance companies.
And you've been hitting that FOX bong way too much. Thanks for confirming my point rather than addressing what I said with a rebuttal worth reading.
Sometimes the truth hurts. The CBO just confirmed what Hatch is saying, after the WH denied his figures.
OMG! He's got the word TARGETED on that sign! Do you see it? Who should we call?
