Besides the left's hatred of women who aren't feminazis, blacks who aren't liberal, Hispanics who are for tough immigration laws, they are also huge on supporting special interest groups who push for Dems minorities to be elected BECAUSE they are female, black, or hispanic, rather than pushing for them regardless of their race, gender, ethnicity and simply because of their political views and competency.

Women are more nuturing. Dems are more for social justice.
Just seems natural more women would be Democrats..it's the "mom" in them.

Liberalism, in general, is a touchy-feely ideology therefore it is more suitable to the fairer sex. I know very few conservative women.

Frankly, I don't see the problem. In years' past there weren't any women in congress.

Why split these women across party lines? There's no difference between them except their ideology.

They're still women whether they're dem, independ, or repub.

You know, sometimes, Dems and Repubs get married ya know. Imagine that...

What is the percentage breakdown of AA vs non-AA females? What might shed more light on this issue?

While it's true that single women tend to be more liberal (they seek a sugar daddy without feeling "dirty" about it) and a married woman esp. with kids tends to be more conservative (since they and/or their hubby earn enough money to not be as reliant on "sugar daddy" gubmint)

More women are democrats than republican.

It's like asking why there are so many dominicans playing pro baseball instead of pro hockey.

I would be curious to see these numbers posted along side those regarding how many women have run for each side, including those who have lost.... as it stands it seems a very selective sample and as such may not fairly represent those representing each group.

Beyond that it could be as simple as personal interest or which group appeals more to the given demographic... it is not really that surprising overall either way.
