The sanctions are for "refined petroleum" not crude oil, which oddly, Iran seems to have a fair amount of, but what it lacks is refining capacity.

Seems a rather strange article, I'd have to read more.


Correction, the article states, "several million dollars worth of crude AND refined products". Again, still seems a bit odd Iran would be importing crude.

It's going to the Northern Kurdish area that doesn't get along with Tehran.
