Some gross generalisations there I think. There is no widespread 'liberal vs conservative' mindset in this country amongst the general population in regard to social matters. Homosexuality for instance is no big deal here. No, my point was no one under say 35 cares about this, as most people my age don't see race as an issue. Most second generation immigrants are secular, and even the younger first generation tend to have a 'western' mindset. Multiculturalism has not 'failed' in the UK, as most immigrants seem to adopt British values- the reason they come here is because they want to participate in our way of life.
btw what makes you think i'm a 'liberal'? A classic liberal as far as social freedoms go maybe, but in the main I refuse to nail myself to a political ideology as it is an impediment to critical thinking.
