So in the last twenty years--since the fall of communist Eastern Europe and the USSR there's been a series of successful popular uprisings that could be considered "revolutions." And the most fondly remembered have all had clever names referencing some aspect of the protests or movement that brought down an authoritarian government...

The Singing Revolution(1989-the Baltic Republics), the Velvet Revolution(1989-Czechoslovakia, followed by the Velvet Divorce when Slovakia split), the Log Revolution(1990-Croatia), the Bulldozer Revolution(2000-Yugolavia), the Rose Revolution(2003-Georgia), the Orange Revolution(2004-Ukraine), the Tulip Revolution(2005-Kyrgystan), the Cedar Revolution(2005-Lebanon)---and more recently the failed Green Revolution(2009-Iran) and what some called the Jasmine Revolution(2011-Tunisia)...

So has any clever pundit come up with a moniker for the uprising in Egypt?

Perhaps Koshari Revolution after the national food? I still prefer the simple Egyptian Revolution.

Obama's Community Revolution

It will only be a matter of time before Obama tries to take credit.

And I was thinking about how it only took about 10 seconds for Obama-haters to blame him for it.
