I have experienced two long term quits. I smoked for well over 20 years, more than 2 packs most days. my first quit I did not gain any weight. I was also able to not smoke for 6 years.

I fell off the wagon smoked for another two and had to detox once again. with this quit I did gain weight but I have managed to not smoke for more than a decade.

the biggest differnce between the two quits was the first time I didn't replace my addiciiton with candy or junk food the second time I did.

smoking addiction is extremely complicated with many hurdles, one day without a cig is to be congratulated.

However, our concern is not for his drug use, but for the lies that perpetually spew from his cake-hole.
So you judge all smokers by the actions of some.

To me this is pointless. No one here can prove if he or Michelle is lying if he is smoking or not. If it comes out that he is smoking in say 4 mths that could simply mean he started again. Since it is so hard to quit?

Have you ever been a smoker?I am guessing no since that would make you an irresponsible person. It is extremely hard to quit

Sad, really. Good for President Bush for overcoming alcoholism and cocaine and good for President Obama for overcoming smoking. I would say good for President Clinton for overcoming women, but I suspect that's just a reality forced on him by age.
Where were you when they were saying far worse, and false, I might add, things about W?

I agree with that. Non smokers dont grasp just how hard it is to quit.

No, but I judge the 95% of smokers who think the world is one big ash tray, and that everyone else's lungs are one big living air filter, when they spew their filth. Perhaps (and I am being VERY generous here), 5 out of 100 of them have a modicum of respect for others and our cities, streets, beaches etc., but the rest couldn't give a damn.

No, I have never smoked. I don't see how people can put that stench in their hand, much less their mouths, much less their lungs.

I did attack what you said, not everybody who quits smoking gets fat...that's a FACT!

You shouldnt be so judgmental. I am sure there is something you do that others wont agree with you doing it.

Judge not least ye be judged. I am guessing you dont live a perfect life.

Please continue to waste your time since you will never be able to prove this a lie. Unless you become his shadow

My mom quit too. She died of cancer of the lung. It's a sure cure, but a bit drastic. But she was an honorable and decent human being.
