Mexico originally offered to SELL power to TX but later retracted that offer because they were dealing with the same issues we were, they had cold weather related issues with some generator locations causing a drop of power production. We're nowhere near capacity on the grid, we just had some generation locations down for normal maint. which takes place every winter during times of normal lower power consumption.

As far as I can tell nobody froze to death without power for 30 - 45 minutes at a time but don't let that stop anyone from trying to bash Perry for doing nothing wrong.

I can't answer for the OP but I'd be happy for once to see something useful and legal come across the Mexican border into the United States.

Same as they blasted Christie for not being in NJ when they had a snow storm.

Seems like he had prearranged plans. Since Obama is now being compared to Reagan I wonder if he'll also fly out to CA for the celebrations.
From the OP link:

"His office said he is visiting troops, will be staying aboard the USS Reagan (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Ronald_Reagan - broken link), and participating in festivities surrounding Ronald Reagan's 100th birthday."

I guess it's more important to celebrate a dead person birthday than to do their job.

Why do Republicans worship Reagan? It's like Reagan is their messiah.

Mexico should give us as much power as we need, after all we have been supporting thier people for far to long. It's time for payback of some sort. Electricity would be perfect.

To bad they cancelled though. Maybe we should cancel allowing their leeches over here.
