You can sure tell who the paranoid ones are here. Surprise, they seem to have something in common, dare I say .....
You don't have to be paranoid to not what government spying on people. I pity people who don't value their privacy and have no issues with big government watching us.
I thought she did away with "levels" of threat for a more clear "threat or no threat" policy.
Am I cynical if I am suspicious in the timing of this and the timing for the renewal of The Patiriot Act?
I don't doubt that terrorists will strike the US again, I just question the coincidence of the failure of the House to renew key provisions of The Patriot Act and Napolitano's announcement.
Well thanks to DHS for that big bust of illegal tshirts. That would have been some national security threat should they have gotten loose in America.
Some errant tshirt could have blown up a plane for pete's sake.
Well for all the syping they do, you would think that they know the American People are pretty upset with our Government, wouldn't they have picked up on this.
This ain't nothing new, times have not changed, people have, therefore our Govenment is watching over us, and the nutcaases. There have always been crazies out there, but today, more of them.
I could care less. I live my life in the most boring goldfish bowl in existence. Trying to keep secrets takes more energy than it is worth.
This does NOT make me a supporter of the Abominable Patriot Act or any other government warrantless spying into citizen's private affairs.
For any Government agency involved in anti-terrorist activities: You guys have managed to replace foreign terrorism with domestic terrorism by making everybody more fearful of our government than the fanatics. Good job.

Think of all the money wasted because our government doesn't trust it's own citizens and feels the need to spy on them.
So you must be above the fray and just look down on us unwashed, as I suspected.
Above the fray:? Not sure what you mean there, seems to me there would have to be a fray, before one could be above it. Now, a persecution complex, on the other hand ....

Did you complain when Bush initiated the Patriot Act?
This is nothing new, I don't know why y'all act as if it is.
