And I'm not a Republican as anybody on this board can tell you. Honestly who gives a ****... between Tiger Woods and this I can honestly say that I'm fed up with the buffoonery that is the American Media and the people who eat it up. The News would sooner cover x celebrity cheating/divorcing/acting out than actually cover the news and the average American would rather watch Kim Kardashian 24/7 than become educated about why our economy is the way it currently is and what we can do to save it.

Okay...if being a 'leftie' means having a pair and a spinal column, speaking my mind, standing behind what I say, and not ever puckering my lips to kiss someone's a**, then by gosh, I'll be a 'leftie' all night long
And quit assuming that anyone who has a divergent opinion from yours is automatically a left-winger, liberal, Communist, socialist, poopiehead, or any of the other 'Playground Insults Of The Week' that get so gleefully tossed about here like confetti...

I'm supposed to arbitrarily be silent simply because I don't have the right letter after my name (R/D), or espouse the right 'values' (no pun intended)? Good luck with that...I suggest you stock up on provisions and hunker down for a long cold winter, because silence ain't on my agenda for the foreseeable future

Heck, I would be satisfied if you could produce any evidence that any assertion you make isn't completely made up.

I intend to ask this everytime a lefty makes this assertion. Please provide some evidence he was a Christian family values guy. I expect to get the same crickets I have gotten the last 7 or 8 times I have asked.
You know, you have a point on a very (very) small scale. Did he stand under a Christian flag and sing the Battle Hymn of the Republic with a bible in his hand? No. The evidence for his "family values stand" is his votes against DADT and to support the so called block to federal funding of abortion under HCR. Those votes certainly DO show that he has a real level of comfort with scrutinizing and judging other people's sex lives--that he's a family values candidates. That DOES make him a hypocrite.
My big surprise is the speed with which he resigned. Usually they'll try to hang in there if they think the evidence isn't too bad, or their voters will tolerate it. He's from a strong family values district, plus I'm guessing this must have been just the tip of the iceberg and he's afraid more women will come forward with something worse than a chest pic SO here we are. Like I said, I feel really sorry for his family.

That's Louisiana--another planet compared to the rest of the country. They have a long and proud history of political scandals, some of them involving sex and some not, and it doesn't seem to matter.
Why should anyone care if he goes fishing for friends on an electronic dating site? How is that different from any bar on K Street? If we required all the politicians that are dishonest and hypocrites to quit we would have very few left to operate our corrupted government.
just one more reason why i don't fully trust our government....Repub or Democrat, don't matter...it's OUR government, and it's a crying shame.
