GOOD! The Republican party needs to get rid of any slime ball in their party. I hate anyone that would put their family in the public eye and then bring down disgrace on their heads.
Only the Republican Party needs to do it? So you are okay with people in the Democrat Party engaging in similar or worse behavior?
This clown obviously has issues. Im glad he's been found out and now that he's resigned, get a suitable replacement and move on.
Yup, typically when you see members of Congress resign and wonder why they are resigning over something which doesn't seem to be a big thing, quite a bit more comes out afterward. Think Eric Massa last year. Not to mention the Craigslist "dating" sites have wound up to be more along the lines of escort services and Prostitution rather than dating, who knows where this might be headed.
We won't know until more comes out, but I highly doubt he would resign (and don't think he should) over being married and having shirtless pictures on a dating site. Something more is likely going on.
I agree with this. "Simple" affairs are no biggie. When you get involved in using govt resources that is when it gets tricky. I dont care what a candidate does in his private life as long as they don't step on others rights while doing it. All that waste of money and time to find out what we already knew about Clinton, he's got the dog in him.
Representative Chris Lee of New York, caught in the midst of a scandal involving a shirtless photo he reportedly e-mailed to a woman, has stepped down, according to a senior Congressional official.
Mr. Lee, a Republican who is married, notified the Republican Speaker of the House of his decision in a letter he sent this afternoon after the scandal erupted.
Mr. Lee’s office released a statement late Wednesday in which the he asks for forgiveness. “I regret the harm that my actions have caused my family, my staff and my constituents,’’ he said. “I deeply and sincerely apologize to them all. I have made profound mistakes and I promise to work as hard as I can to seek their forgiveness.’’
They never said do as I do,
they said do what I say
