Except the over-the-top “quotes,” which Us Weekly attributes to a Monday radio interview with Sean Hannity, were actually written for a satire website.

Again: Palin’s Aguilera comments are fabricated.

They come from a satire piece.

Only Us Weekly posted the “Palin” comments as real.

Are you familiar with Russell's Law?

This is just a corollary of it. A parody of Sarah Palin cannot be distinguished from the real Sarah Palin.

This post is really sad. First of all it is a personal attack and second is minimizes the importance of the abject failure of our media to fulfill their obligations as members of the press.

Dismissing people who object to the gross excesses and failures of the media is itself an act of treachery against your country, and I am ashamed of such acts committed by others.

Us Weekly? Really? Imagine--a gossip magazine not achieving 100% journalistic integrity and accuracy in its celebrity reporting. What next? Perez Hilton mischaracterizes the crisis in Egypt? Shocked, SHOCKED I tell you!

LOL

Palin gets everything she deserves. Bachmann too.

You don't see SMART or SANE female conservatives getting treated this way, so you might want to think it has something to do with the individual instead of the politics.

You also need to get to work. Do not confuse US Weekly with the 'press'. "Abject failure?" of a celebrity-centered magazine?

Yeah, it's the individual they are reporting on that makes them not check facts or even check the ABOUT US tab on the site they are using for a source. Sure it is....

AS IF this is the first time a parody story got mistaken for the real thing.

Remember the Harry Potter Promotes Satanism story from the Onion?

Right wing loonies were all over it.

Just because someone was sloppy doesn't mean it was a vast left-wing conspiracy.

And why bother defending that snowbilly anyway?
