NO.

Point Blank.

You can't ACT like a race/ethnicity/Nationality etc etc etc.

That's all there is to it.

Good thing because you would have just buried your case even further.

I believe people act and talk depending on where they were raised, and who they hang around with, and how their parents acted.

If you're white and were born in a neighborhood where the majority of the residents are black, and your friends are black you'll most likely talk like them.
Same thing if you're black and grew up in "white" neighborhood.

In all seriousness, there are African Americans whose complexion lets them pass as white and they do. I don' know how common it is among young African Americans, but among those of my generation - retired - I met some. You would know once you met their family, but during segregation in the south, it was the only way to get good jobs and live in a good neighborhood. Broyard, Walter White, George Herriman are among those who are famous.

There is no such thing as "acting white" or "acting black" per se, but i do know that there is a such thing as an Uncle Tom. But that has more to do with actions more than speech or mannerisms.

That's what we all wish for in an ideal world. Unfortunately, these stereotypes do exist big time.
