Company president Peter Chan, 47, who worked as a flight attendant for 10 years, said he doesn't "see any reasons we cannot let ladyboys work as flight attendants" as long as his carrier complies with civil aviation laws.

"I think it's time for the Thai society to be more open and support freedom of all sexes," he said.

I wholeheartedly agree. All society should be more open and supportive. period.

What is the problem here? Oh wait. Nothing.

As long as they do the job and are a responsible employee. Really, what is the point of this thread? Why bring it up? Who cares? It gets old.

I don't need to be in the business of others. Who they employee is between them and their employees and share holders. Nuff said.

I agree with a few other posters...what difference does it make? The flight attendants are not there to "hook up" with the passengers. They are there to do their jobs efficiently and in a professional manner.

I work for a major US carrier and we have a few transgendered people who work for us as FAs. They are absolutely wonderful at their job and they are a joy to work with. Really, its not a big deal in my opinion.

"Thai Airlines hiring transgender flight attendants"

Seriously it is a non issue. They are people and they need jobs. Their race, gender, or preferences doesn't matter. Their work ethic does.
