There is no equivocation. We haven't made a profit. Why don't you admit you misspoke and move along.

GM still hasn't paid back ALL the money they were given.

Funny when Wall Street guys get bonuses, Liberals camp out in front of their homes.

When GM (Obama's UAW cronies) get bonuses, profit sharing is a good thing even though they still owe the taxpayers money!

Paper profits are real profits.

They're just not "realized" yet.

This stuff is basic accounting. You don't need an MBA to get it.

They have paid back all the money they were loaned, though. They owe nothing more.

And when it's the middle class that gets bonuses, it's the right wingers who show up with torches aflame.

A fascinating difference, don't you think?

I am a capitalist. I believe profit sharing is always a good thing.

Let me help you out. If you own $300 hares of a stock today and it tanks next week and goes to $150 is it still worth $300? No stock is worth anything until you sell it. No go outside and play.

GM Still Owes Us - Forbes.com

The company got $50 billion from our government, and $10 billion more from Canada. They have paid the U.S. back $7 billion plus interest, as I understand it, including the latest payment of nearly $5 billion. So they say they paid us back.

Not quite: That still leaves $43 billion.
