Kudos to Rep. Tom Rooney (R-Fla.), for introducing and to both sides of the aisle for passing the bill to cancel the F-35 engine program unwanted by the Pentagon!

And a BIG Bronx Cheer to John Boehner for failing to walk the walk of all his big cost-cutting talk and support the cancellation.

That was one thing that needed to be cut. A step in the right direction.

What did you expect from John Boehner? He said that losing 200,000 jobs is tough tit.

Perhaps the Republican party should champion something that would make a difference, like entitlement reform.

And you've also got to be kidding right? When is enough spending when your speaker of the house didn't support cutting the F35 unwanted engine project?

It was remarkable how Boehner couldn't find it in his heart to suggest cutting a program that was quite exceptionally superfluous. Pentagon spending is the motherlode of pork...

House Republicans announce they'll include entitlement reform in 2012 budget

Boehner has to vote for his constituents, besides, I think he knew this had to go and would get done without him.

No, he doesn't. That's the entire core of the problem with pork-barrel spending.

LOL, the left is runing in circles in fear. Let's flesh this out. What did Boehner have to do with this appropriation? Nothing, it was introduced and passed last year by Sherrod Brown. Well surely Boehner must have blocked any attempt to cut it. Clearly not read the original post. So what did Boehner do to terrify the left? He is committed to cutting $100 billion from the budget. Don't be fooled by the scared little jackrabbits. They aren't concerned about the cuts that didn't happen, they are petrified that the adults are going to introduce some fiscal discipline.
