This is just classic shock doctrine from the Republicans. Find a crisis then use it for partisan political advantage. Sadly, many people are still dumb enough to fall for it so it's no wonder the Republicans do it over and over again. I would say those people will learn when their kids are stuffed 50 to a room with no accedited teacher to teach them (because who wants to work for peanuts when you have a M.Sc?) but I doubt the folks who support this will ever learn.

Uhh, hate to tell you but Democrats do the same thing. Look at the health "care" law they passed for an example of this.

And paying people that lie about being sick in order to skip work is kind of a crises.

And publik teachers in Wisconsin average 52 grand a year. Not exactly peanuts.

Class Dismissed.

You're joking, right? There are so many qualified people ready and willing and grateful to go in a do a phenomenal job. Those teaching jobs will be filled in a heartbeat.

Remember the middle school that Obama highlighted in his SOTU address? You know the one that was doing so poorly and then had a miraculous improvement? Guess what the big change was that resulted in the school doing so well? You got it. The school was granted autonomy from the restrictions of the Unions. Bingo! Huge Improvements!

It's simple:
Union workers think they're a special class of people.

By "indoctrinate" he means learning to read. You know, that "elitist" sort of stuff.
