Oh what a crock of crap. Happens every year when it's time for open enrollment for health insurance. If I didn't contribute anything, I'd have none. Like millions of us not sucking off the public teat.

Time for the teachers to do their share. Lord knows they're not footing the bill in educating the kids.

So the Supreme court hands massive political power to corporations and their PACs and weakens the political clout of the individual and the right shrugs, but unions... oh no... they're too self-serving and greedy.
so only union labor gets this? You saying that people like me don't earn more than you just because we're not union labor? I'm going to go out on a limb and guess I make quite a bit more than you and I make it because of my skill set, which is the ONLY reason a person should be working for a company. You do not have a right to work and they do not have to keep you on, unless you're with a union and it's in your contract. All the union does is insure the business will eventually be destroyed by laziness and incompetence. You have no competitive advantage with union labor, which is why those companies almost always eventually fail. Look at gm and chrysler if you don't believe me. They failed big time and they shouldn't be around anymore. They have no competitive advantage and don't even produce anything most people want. They failed, but were rescued by a bunch of idiots that said they're too big to fail. Guess what? That's BS! The employees failed at making a product anyone wants and they should be unemployed and on the streets. That's what happens to failures. As for me, I'll continue to further my education, get more certifications, progress in my field, and make very good money because I actually deserve it. Union labor will never understand that concept and that's why they need to fail. Good riddance!

Educating always takes longer than indoctrinating.

This sounds like a socialist statement to me!

That's a union bosses wet dream right there.. believes everything a person with an obvious agenda tells them and won't question anything. I believe the edge of the cliff is over there, go on and follow the rest of the lemmings...
cult leaders also look for those same qualities, so be careful..

BTW, for all the union lovers out there. What separates you from a monkey as far as the work you can do? Seriously. Most of that labor requires about 5 minutes to train and it's just repetition all day long. I personally couldn't handle it, but that's because my brain actually requires stimulation and challenge. Don't believe me on the monkey part? Check out some videos of a pack of monkeys and then look at the union thugs in Wisconsin. There is no difference. They both repeat the same annoying noises over and over and do exactly as their leader tells them. I hate to insult monkeys, but the IQ scores are probably about the same too...

Actually, the automotive manufacturing employees, the ones who are actually involved with the unions, the ones who put the vehicles together, aren't responsible for the design of the vehicle so they didn't fail at "making a product anyone wants." Their unemployment would cause a lot of devastation.

Unions have been a double-edged sword. It's ridiculous for unions to think today the demands for pensions, wages and insurance agreed to dozens of years ago can be maintained. The product would just have to cost much more to support that, and that would not be competitive, and the company would fail. Literally unions are cutting off their noses to spite their faces. But without them, American workers would have suffered deplorable work conditions, wages and benefits. As unions evolved, to many American workers, the union was a necessary evil. I question today the motives of upper management in unions, including teachers unions.

Not sure how you read your success into the message to which you responded, but good for you for your success. I hope you hope for success for the employees who might be harmed in all this.

The Japanese companies assemble the same basic concept, but do it with quality, so I still blame the labor. Besides, the US automakers are wasting all their money feeding the monkeys. Maybe if they weren't, they could hire some designers and engineers that are actually making something people want. And I grew up in Michigan, so I know who works at these plants. Many people I went to school with aspired to be a lazy POS and work in an auto plant. I have some relatives that also fit that same description. Hell, anyone in Michigan knew that the best place to get any drugs was at the local plant. I'll even admit it sounded like a good idea for about two seconds.. Luckily I didn't go that route and am now much more successful than I would've been.
