WASHINGTON — As the Obama administration presses ahead with the health care law, officials are bracing for the possibility that a federal judge in Virginia will soon reject its central provision as unconstitutional and, in the worst case for the White House, halt its enforcement until higher courts can rule.
What a laugh! This is going to the SCOTUS, no matter what the Va. quack judge rules. Michigan has ruled it Constitutinal, the SCOTUS has declined to get involved in California's challenge, essentially squashing it. No matter what happens, the US Solicitor & Attorney Gen. will appeal for a stay of the order, get it and then it goes to the SCOTUS.

"Because the Supreme Court has said the commerce clause of the Constitution allows Congress to regulate “activities that substantially affect interstate commerce,” the judges must decide whether the failure to obtain insurance can be defined as an “activity.”
The key word here is "regulate". Similar to bank legislation: it is regulated under the interstate commerce clause, but that does not mean the Federal Government can force you to put your money in a PRIVATE bank. Same goes for government mandating you buy PRIVATE health insurance.
If the health care bill had "Medicare for all" under the general welfare clause, it would fly constitutionally, but not for purchase of a PRIVATE product.
If it does pass the mustard in our court systems, it is just another example of personal rights of citizens being taken away by a government that wants to swallow them whole
The government is Moby Dick and it will cost the Ahab's of the country more than a leg if folks are forced to buy PRIVATE health insurance
When A government MAKES you buy from a PRIVATE COMPANY with your own money, something you don't
have a choice whether you want or not: We really are in troubled waters.
Now, someone in Government will actually read the tome.

Michigan is also planning on taking all the folks on Medicaid off the government subsidized roles, and making
them pay for their own health insurance as well
Since 2002, Medicaid enrollment in Michigan has swelled 54 percent to 1.9 million people. Guess what, if they can't or won't pay for it, I shouldn't have to either

The SCOTUS did not decide to get involved, they cant get involved BEFORE the California challenge was ruled on. Getting involved before lower courts ruled would be premature. Thats not exactly a victory..
