Quote:
"Despite what you may have heard about Wisconsin’s finances, the state is on track to have a budget surplus this year."
So says crack reporter, Maddow.

The truth;

Quote:
Our conclusion: Maddow and the others are wrong.

There is, indeed, a projected deficit that required attention, and Walker and GOP lawmakers did not create it.

We rate Maddow’s take False.
Maddow AND the Left, of course.

And Texas has this big "rainy day" fund so why are there budget cuts in education ?
That's plastered all over the local news here.

Texas has no "real" budget problem because we have a rainy day fund.
And not a mention that Doggett (D) got near $800 million in Fed education money taken away from Texas.

The spins are disgusting. Tell the world the emperor HAS clothes even when he doesn't because perception is everything.

Finally, I agree with Politifact that Madcow has come back up with a bit of untruth. She is going along with Obama, and the national labor leaders that it is all an attempt to take collective bargaining away from teachers when it seems, that it is only our glorious leader and his union bosses who want it to appear to be what Madcow says is true. I wonder how much the SEIU paid her to talk like that.

Fair enough. That claim is false and whoever repeats both falsehoods should be called out on it.

But it is clear from your own source....the Governor enacted 140 Mil in revenue cuts over the next two years...when he had a deficit already of 137 Million.

So don't give me this crap about how "fiscal conservatives" care about deficits.

Money "spent on"?????????

It was tax cuts...only in wingnut bizarro land are tax cuts ..jobs programs...LOL

Goverment "spending" is the most effective way to create jobs.

Tax cuts are mainly saved by corporations and the rich and produce less effective job creation.

You say that government spending is the most effective way to create jobs and the Stimulus law spent $787 billion dollars and got almost no jobs from it. Surely you don't believe that statement.

Laughable...how many wer not temp jobs, and how many were incorrectly attributable? Cuts to corps allow them more money to invest in new jobs, and one where the taxpayer does not have to fund permanently, including pensions and HC. I will take my chances with corps creating jobs than the govt...
