Quote:
Governor Deval Patrick quietly issued an executive order yesterday banning discrimination against transgender workers in state government, a move that advocates view as a first step toward passing statewide legislation.

Quote:
Patrick signed the order in a private ceremony in his office attended by advocates and several transgender state employees. He did not list the event on his public schedule or send out a press release afterward.

Quote:
Yesterday, Kris Mineau — president of the Massachusetts Family Institute, a socially conservative group — said the governor’s order “may well be a stealth bathroom bill, opening bathrooms, locker rooms, and showers to any gender in all government-controlled facilities, including public schools down to kindergarten.’’

Liberal Lunacy at it's finest......Let's potentially expose people to sexual predators so we can avoid hurting the feelings of a tiny minority group. Film At 11....

Umm.... sexual predators? Do you have evidence of your claim that transgendered people are predators? Sounds like those people who think gay people molest children. Just uninformed fear of the unknown.

A lot of places have a similar policy. It's really nothing new. If someone works somewhere and transitions their gender identity, they take staff through the protocol. Not my cup of tea, but not really a big deal and has nothing to do with politics, except perhaps that it's a conservative / libertarian policy that expands freedom and individual rights.

A bill about workers rights is passed and the right is claiming we are no longer safe in bathrooms???

Sorry, I don't think the liberals are they ones showing lunacy here. Though perhaps they are showing superior reading comprehension given that if you actually read the article it states nothing about where a transgendered person is allowed to go to the bathroom has changed. Alternate reality much?

Just stay off my property, and away from me and my family and I don't care.

Well if a girl goes into the women's room and sees a guy in there..how do they react ?
Once was they left..there should be no good reason for a guy to be in the ladies room.

Not so anymore. Is he a transgender, a predator, a peeping Tom, a rapist ?
Who knows anymore. It will open the door to those that want to use it to their advantage.

Government controlled facilities includes schools I assume..K-12 and public universities ?

Men's room, Women's room, Handicapped accessible, Family restroom, Everyone else's restroom.

There, now every business will need a minimum of 5 restrooms.

Go to the public restroom that is set up for your physical attributes. If you have a penis but want to dress like a woman be prepared for a reaction in the men's room. That's freedom and personal responsibility at it's finest.

Of course we could just eliminate the "open concept" restroom for private ones or accept co-ed bathrooms. It shouldn't take too much effort to make those partial doors full enclosures instead. Urinals be damned.

No..they get to to to the ladies room without fear of arrest.
Transgenders can use whatever bathroom, locker room, showers they want in govenment buildings, including schools all the way down to Kindergarten.

So parents best start talking to their kids.
