So what is the acceptable prom attire then? Girls can't wear dresses and guys can't wear suits? After all, showing off your gender might be offensive at a gender neutral prom.

If you feel like a girl, wear a dress.
If you feel like a guy, wear a suit.

Good analogy. Why is it unreasonable for the one offended kid to find a way to deal with it and yet it’s perfectly ok to force the majority to sacrifice, change and do without just to accommodate this kid? Why is the one offended kid always selfishly getting what he wants? Don’t the wants, needs and desires of the majority count for anything anymore?

Apparantly they don't, because we don't want to step on anyone's toes around here anymore. Atheists are a very small minority in the U.S., just like liberals are, yet they carry a disproportionate amount of power relative to their numbers, and it's our fault because the politicians bought into the lie that they have to walk on eggshells in the name of diversity and "tolerance". There's nothing "tolerant" about shutting the majority up just for the sake of the minority. And I know some wiseguy liberal on here is going to bring up civil rights strawman, and it has nothing to do with that.

And they fail to realize there is a difference between “tolerance” and “acceptance”. Just because something is tolerated doesn’t mean that it’s accepted or ever will be.

What is perverse about recognizing that your body and gender identity don't match?

If you feel like a woman and all the parts say man, you are mentally ill. Mutilating yourself is a pretty drastic step considering the mental illness is still there.

Playing into someone's sickness is sick in itself.

You cannot hold formal prayers in public schools because it is against the Constitution, or don't you believe in that documant either? FYI that as NOTHING to do with the subject being discussed. Besides, the right likes to point out that we are a Republic not a Democracy. See how ones past stands on issues can trip you up later when you really do not believe it applies to all but only those that agree with Your point of view

Wrong As Usual. Provided Valid Medical Proof to backup your claim. FYI when they change genders medically they are considered to be the sex they have become physically under the Law, explain that one.
