On her MSNBC program, Rachel Maddow explained what the protests in Wisconsin are really all about. Maddow said, “What’s happening in Wisconsin right now is not about a budget. This is about elections. This is about the Republican Party going after the institutions that make it possible for Democrats to win elections in America.”

Rachel Maddow Reveals the Hidden Truth Behind the Wisconsin Protests

So obviously true and thank you Rachel for explaining it so eloquently. Maybe the problem is that naysayers are not used to eloquence...after all, their ears are tuned to "Palin Speak". Quite a difference in wavelength, level of sophistication and intelligence.

So many people are blind sighted by propaganda that taking away their democracy is almost like taking candy away from a baby!

I'm not a fan of Rachael Maddow, but I saw this show, and she's absolutely right. We're at a point where 7 out of the top 10 major campaign funders are corporations, and the rest are unions. If you knock the unions out of the picture, all you have left are corporations. I may not like everything the democrats do, but I sure don't want to live in a country where big business completely controls the election process here--I think it's dangerous. That's why lots of independents and democrats are screaming bloody murder about gutting the unions. They're the only voice left in this country for the middle class and working people.

Lower Taxes on the rich and then take it out on the poor. Apparently the3 40% the rich already stole is not enough.

Yep. It's about union busting for political purposes, plain and simple.

Prior to Governor Fiscal Irresponsible taking office, Wisconsin was projecting a surplus.

Upon Governor Fiscal Irresponsible taking office, Big Business was handed between $117 million and $140 million in tax breaks.

That left a budget shortfall that had to be filled from somewhere. POOF! Like magic! It's public unions that simply must "share the burden".

WHAT burden? There was none until this fiscally irresponsible jerk took office!

This is a despicable and transparent political move, period.

They remind me of the "Eloi" people in The Time Machine.

She's already been proven wrong! She doesn't bother to read the details. Poor Rachel.

Oh Please...

I've been duped into actually opening "The Blaze" articles a time or too, and they're nothing but a radical conservative rant. When you can find a mainline news source that says the same thing, I'll take a look. "The Blaze" proves nothing.
