Oh I know full well that this is ALL about the collective bargaining rights from the union's point of view. The union mobsters stand to lose the ability to forcibly extract dues from teachers who don't wish to pay them.
And if he didn't campaign on it, then WHY was the AFT-Wisconsin Union circulating fliers stating that he planned to "curb the union's power to negotiate"?????????????? Answer that, please.
Stripping the majority of Collective Bargaining Rights goes even further than curbing the union's power to negotiate.
Given the vapor surpluses of the past (see 1999 & 2000 surpluses), it would be no surprise to find ‘evidence‘ of this mysterious state profitability. But even Klein must acknowledge that to say, “the Badger State was actually in pretty good shape,” is at best, wishful thinking.
Well, it seems the people of Wisc don't think he is.
The soccer moms (some independent, some Democrat) won't be liking the unions very much once they have to start taking their kids to the babysitter or daycare instead of learning at school, and they sure as hell won't like the Dems who split town.

Giving people the option of whether or not they want to be in the union and whether or not they want to line the pockets of the union mobsters is a BAD thing? Wow, okay.

Don't think of it as being "forced into the union". Think of it as being "assimilated into the collective"...
