They might not win each battle, and we will probably end up creating a new tax bracket for the 250K+segment of society, but a man like Obama would never even fathom trillion dollars in spending cuts were it not for the hard work of conservatives/libertarians stepping up and being belligerent about the severity of our debt and budget deficits. Kudos to true congressional conservatives and libertarians for keeping with the fight.

I'll believe it when I see those cuts. I haven't seen any reason to believe the republicans have what it takes to force a balanced budget.

Coulda saved yourself a whole buncha typing and just said ya don't like Obama, which is all your blather amounts to. If the 'conservatives' were so concerned with cost cutting as you allege we wouldn't have witnessed Boehner's attempts at clinging to a wasteful engine program or Bachmann praising direct government spending to influence pork prices and so happily accepting farm sunbsidy $$$.

No doubt, libertarians are not even on the same planet as conservatives.

Sometimes I think a literal war will break out...I say this in jest. But I'd say us conservatives would easily win such a contest

It also does not equal Republican. However, at this time in history, Conservatives (capital C) are much closer to the libertarians (small l) and other Constitutionalists in their fiscal and small government philosophy than to the mainstream GOP powers that be.

Exactly. I love how conservatives try to use the term.

Under the guise of personal freedom you are no longer permitted to "...." You also can't marry "...." or have any "....." You are not allowed to worship "...."
But you can keep your guns.
