Here is a letter from the Legislative Fiscal Bureau of the state, that some of the changes (breaks) that were in his bills, unbalanced the budget .

And "spread the wealth" redistribution ideology rears its ugly head again. You do realize that 1+1=2, and not 14 Trillion... right? Are you a sociopolitical major? Will you ever bother to realize that all politicians have become our handlers? They only take turns at breaking the piggy bank and benefit whoever will help them get their turn. The dems use bankers and unions, the pubs use corporations. Take your pick, they both suck.
None of the old school politicians (left or right) plan on changing the status quo. Mainstream pubs are hating the "new" Republicans because they have a backbone. We'll see if they can maintain that backbone. I hope they can.

You miss the point, I am not against using common sense when it comes to the budget, I am Against the way it is being done, common sense has Nothing to with the current methods.

Mr Walker's campaign was financed by the same folk who finance every "old school" Conservative career politician. He's in bed with them. His efforts have nothing to do with changing the political status quo.....

This is another Union lie.
It was Henry Ford who introduced the 40 hour workweek and Sunday was always the day for the church.
Ford factory workers get 40-hour week — History.com This Day in History — 5/1/1926
Quote:
The decision to reduce the workweek from six to five days had originally been made in 1922. According to an article published in The New York Times that March, Edsel Ford, Henry's son and the company's president, explained that "Every man needs more than one day a week for rest and recreation....The Ford Company always has sought to promote [an] ideal home life for its employees. We believe that in order to live properly every man should have more time to spend with his family."
Henry Ford said of the decision: "It is high time to rid ourselves of the notion that leisure for workmen is either 'lost time' or a class privilege." At Ford's own admission, however, the five-day workweek was also instituted in order to increase productivity: Though workers' time on the job had decreased, they were expected to expend more effort while they were there. Manufacturers all over the country, and the world, soon followed Ford's lead, and the Monday-to-Friday workweek became standard practice.

It is Walker's inability to "work with the people to solve problems" that will destroy the state budget!
Quote:
"We'd love to come back today," said Democratic Sen. Jon Erpenbach, one of the 14 who went to Illinois. "We could be up there this afternoon and pass this if he would agree to removing the language that has absolutely nothing to do with balancing the budget."

Walker warns state workers layoff notices could come next week if bill isn't passed
Meanwhile, Walker is wasting money for police from around the state to protect him in Madison, thereby leaving other communities short and at a safety risk!
Quote:
As Walker spoke under heavy guard at a late Monday afternoon news conference inside his conference room, thousands of protesters could be heard through the doors blowing whistles, banging on drums and chanting "Scott Walker has got to go!"
|
Quote:
Hundreds of law enforcement officers from across Wisconsin have been sent to Madison to assist with security at the State Capitol.
|
Quote:
police officers and sheriff's deputies are coming in "literally from all over the state" other than the far northwestern corner.
She said resources locally were being stretched thin,

Hundreds of extra police called to Madison

Tax policies implemented by the governor is a great example government directed of wealth distribution, and right along the policies that were implemented by W Bush soon after he took office. The policies that were destined to create a hole, spelled fiscal irresponsibility. Walker took it further and is asking teachers to make up for that hole.
The problem with those who simply don't get it the first time is that they refuse to see things the way they are but are quickest to point fingers the other way when things go the way they were predicted but they never saw it coming.

Do you notice a mass defection of teachers from unions in the past week?

Why is being in a union so important to a government worker ? After all, why would they need the protection of a union against the government ?
I've asked this over and over and no one wants to go there.
Why are government workers so afraid of the government that they need a union ?
This is like an oxymoron.."government union".
|
Because historically when workers were not unionized corporations and the government used unfair labor practices and denied them benefits.
I'm very interested in how this plays out. If efforts to take away collective bargaining in states like Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio prove to be politically unpopular in these areas the Republican Party will pay the piper in 2012. All these states will be battleground states in the 2012 Presidential election. If all these states go Democratic in the 2012 election along with Michigan and Illinois there is no way the Republicans win the 2012 presidential election.
