The fault here is in the term "extreme".
Limbaugh etal. are extreme oligarchs.
Maddow etal. are in no way extreme by merely countering the oligarchs.
There is no extreme Left (socialist) being heard today. The "progressive" media is pro-honest business with a regulated capitalism serving an AMERICAN nation if you listen.

I think it is a way of not dealing with the hard reality of life for many.
Bingo! No self-accountability required.

Seems like we could compromise if people came to the table with 1-2 core principals and a compromise attitude for the rest....

For me is it budget fiscal policy and govt. intrusion...but I coud care less about the other issues and could budge a little there, but I would still call myself a conservative....

Liberalism is dieing for now....good!
Unfortunately in the future it will be "re-badged" into something else and try and make a comeback and screw up the country.....again.

I would rather have a much more "right" leaning country then a disasterous left.

Do you know what a liberal is?
Do you know what a socialist is?
Do you know what a "progressive" is?
Do you favor plutocracy?

Liberalism will live as long as people have the desire to be free of oppression. It is what Tunisia and Egypt just went through. It is what people in Iran and Libya want.

Authoritarianism is not going anywhere either. Likes of Hitler and Mussolini, and even Stalin and Mao, weren't the first and aren't the last of it.

Right.....the beginning being around the 1300's.
You obviously hate liberal endeavors & beliefs such as:
*the American Revolution
*the Boston Tea Party
*greater freedom of speech
*democracy over plutocracy
*civil rights
*tolerance over intolerance
*the natural equality and rights of individuals
*anti-fascism
*the general welfare of society and its individuals
*the nation as a "community"
*the more recent push against outsourcing of jobs
*more, but I won't tax your attention span.
Here's an idea - check out the meaning of the word "liberal" (I hate to chase you to a dictionary).
Try this - check out an encyclopedia (not the one Limbaugh rewrote).
Yep, as you say - doomed!

41% of us consider ourselves conservative.

31% independent.

20% liberal.

Before the gift of Obama liberals were at 25% and now declining quickly under his watch.

Liberalism is a dying thing in America thank goodness as liberalism has destroyed many other nations.

I have said for a long time the gift and timing of Obama is a great thing as the end of liberalism in America is coming sooner then I really thought it would.

Liberalism is dying and America will be much better off without it.

I believe for an individual to be free to make decisions without coercion they have to be free of both government and economic force. Typically for and agricultural or an industrialized economy the workers must be forced to work under the threat of starvation. In addition the workers must be prevented from being able to negotiate for their wages or working conditions. China is the best example of a nearly completely tyrannized society.

I do not know of a society, except for the top economic aristocrats, where working for somebody else for a living, is not required. I would like to see a society and economy so mechanized that everyone would be free of coercion regardless of their choice of parents. I see a society where some would produce for the fun of it and others would be permanently dissipated. I would prefer dissipation over tyranny.
