Has anyone noticed that Governor Walker is following Reagan and the way he handled the Air Traffic Controllers way back when? He has told some of those public employees who are demonstrating instead of working that some of them are taking a chance of losing their jobs.
Reagan told those people mentioned above that if they didn't get to work in 48 hours they would be looking for jobs and sure enough he fired about 11,000 of them. Not only fired them, didn't let them have their jobs back again.
This thing gets more and more interesting and the unions are trying to show those of us who are fortunate enough to live in Right to Work states that they do, in fact, control government.
A little early in the day to be hitting the sauce Roy.
So Reagan's actions were imbecilic in getting Air Traffic Control people back to work and ending up having to hire 11,000 new ones who wanted to do a job?
They are that, for sure. However, those local school boards operate under state control and the teachers are licensed to do their thing by the state. I wonder what would happen if they lost their certificates for refusing to work. I saw somewhere here that Wisconsin ranks second in reading abilities of students. I surely wonder if that ranking can be kept with teachers walking out for extended amounts of time.

I haven't had a drink of anything alcoholic in so many years that I wonder if you might be right, It is that damned decaffeinated coffee my wife makes me drink, I bet.
I think most are employees of individual school districts.
How many of the firemen and policemen who are certainly public employees work for school districts? There are a number of them demonstrating, you know.
