Union protests following the labor battle at the Wisconsin legislature are spilling into other states. In Colorado, union leaders and workers staged a rally Tuesday outside the state capitol where public employee unions protested proposed cuts to their benefits.
Under a bright midday sun and waving signs with slogans like ‘Worker’s Rights are Human Rights’ and ‘Madison, Cairo, Denver,’ the boisterous crowd chastised Wisconsin’s Governor, and called on Colorado lawmakers to restore proposed cuts to state employee benefits.
Perhaps they need to rethink this. They are not the NAACP you know, these people will fight back.
And they have. The pro-america working people have come out in droves absolutely annihilating the tea party in numbers. In Wisconsin from what i'm seeing most are reporting 40,000-50,000 worker's rights supporters to only about 500 tea party.
The Koch's tried to slide their fascist agenda through little ol' wisconsin but the people caught their move. The tea party yep-yap like little dogs and the left have mainly remained silent, but the right crossed the line and are paying for it big time.
They are against the heroes that ran towards the burning towers on 9/11 when people were running away. They ran to save people in the twin towers and many died for america. They put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe. To be against them makes someone nothing more than a scumbag coward.

They have no grounds on which to fight back. They are wrong in principle and this will bear out in time. There should not be collective bargaining AGAINST the tax paying public. It was a mistake to ever let unions form in the public sector to begin with and that mistake needs to be resolved. Lawmakers for many years put off dealing with these unfunded pension obligations and the numbers are staggering. States simply cannot afford to pay for them. They are in the billions of dollars for nearly every state in the country. There needs to be a renegotiation to levels where states can pay already retired workers at least a portion of their promised pensions and health benefits. That means stopping all new employees from entering the broken system. Stopping it means the unions MUST be stripped of their stranglehold over the workers, the government, and the people of the state. The new employees can get a 401K like anyone else. The state will try to pay a reduced rate to retired workers but it cannot and will not be able to pay what the unions have demanded to this point. The unions can protest all they want but it will not change the inevitable. Eventually the unions will have to negotiate to much lower pay and benefit levels or risk the bankruptsy of the state. If that happens all bets are off and all of the public unions will be gone. Where in the world do the unions think the money for this comes from?? Just because a contract is made in good faith does not mean that extenuating circumstances cannot void that contract. Homes and cars are repossessed all the time when circumstances change. If the payments to these unions have become unreasonable for taxpayers to be expected to pay then what recourse do they have? The public will refuse to pay them and the unions can sue. How will the courts force taxpayers to pay outrageous pension and benefit obligations?....they can't. The unions will be found unconstitutional as they do not promote for the common welfare of the people and the poor retired civil employee will get nothing. The unions had better not force this issue as they will lose. If they cared a lick for their membership they would negotiate peacefully to reasonable wage and benefit levels now before they incur the wrath of the general taxpaying population and get absolutely nothing. There are far more taxpayers to anger than there are public union employees. There is plenty of blame for all sides of this but it is not the taxpaying public's fault that state lawmakers let this situation get so far out of hand. The taxpaying public will not be taxed into poverty to pay for this foolishness. You can bet taxpayers will be paying close attention from here on out and liability for future contracts will be resting on the negotiators themselves. That had better listen to the taxpayers and find solutions more in line with private sector pay and benefits or they will be tossed out of office.
