The trend has been to reduce America to third world status.

Anyone that has been paying attention will see that this has been the plan all along.

They have been using in the past, and in future popular movements by certain segments of the population to further their agenda.

I'm not against womens lib, or equal rights, but it benefited their goals in reducing wages and funneling power to the top, where it is now, where it takes two to "live the American dream of owning a home and having kids". It is very expensive, and the cheap stuff from China does not make up for it as any parent will tell you.

Then in the 70's we had both "dems and repubs" heavy on imports from Japan, which reduced the steel worker mills and Detroit slowly to ruins. Anyone against it was ostracized then as today.

Looking at a graph of wages from the 70's to today will show a decline in wages while productivity has gone up, funneling the wealth and power to the top.

Then we have a secret open border policy by both "dems and repubs" since it does the same thing it did with having more women in the workforce. Suppressing wages since there is more worker demand and not enough jobs.

Then they instituted policies to encourage outsourcing and offshoring among all American business, outside the country but mostly mega corporations, which has made us having to compete on the global scale with those making 2 dollars a day. Gee, what could the long term consequences be?

Now they want to take away social security, unions, pensions, and other protective programs and labeling them as socialist retroactively, since they are nothing new and just did not pop up out of nowhere from "Obama the Socialist" whom by the way is the butt buddy of the banksters on Wall Street as was Bush the Butt buddy of the Mega Corporations.

To test this theory, go after the pay of the presidential position, those in congress, no to insider trading, those on Wall Street, and those in the Mega Corporations, not the thousands of small business's that make up the majority of the jobs in this country and see what kind of backlash you will face.

Now this may be veering into conspiracy territory, but would you say it was a conspiracy if a company grew from collecting all the data possible about the market and thier potential clients and reacted accordingy? You would say there is no conspiracy but a successful entrepreneur.

The government along with those in bed with them, have more than just financial data, but psychological tactics well withing their means to do whatever they want. Why is this such a stretch?

Some may also think that, if the government and those in bed with them were intent on destroying the US, why is it taking so long?
Well, a small company can take a long time to grow quite big where their profits and policies take effect and their in control even!

With the government and those in bed with them that don't own everything, all they can do is put into effect policies and wait for the desired result based on historical outcomes, and the US is no small market unlike the small market a business may deal with.

My favorite--calling union teachers, cops, nurses and firefighters "elites." You've got to be kidding me. Anything to try to make them less like your middle class neighbors who clean up vomit, teach kids, put out fires and catch bad guys--divide and conquer and all that good stuff. I don't think people are buying that one, but they're sure trying.

Funny how wall street bankers and the big oil lobbyists who've robbed us blind don't get called "elites." Just hard working public servants.

MB, I'm middle to lower class and work in the private sector, but that does not mean I'm going to be like the proverbial crab and pull everyone down to meet my level.

The direction we should all be going is up, in the private and public sector.

These cockroach CEO's and Wall Street Banksters with their revolving door in our government have been laughing all the way to the bank as they snuff out small business America and Unions, dividing them as they have done for many years in other countries.

They don't want competition but it all for themselves.

If you think they mean well when they own it all, well, if the direction this country has been going in the last 30 years where productivity has gone up, but wages have dropped is not an indicator, then I don't know what to say.

Instead of playing the divide and conquer game with the working and middle class (and that's what they're trying to do to us--keep us from working together so they can do what they want) we need to start screaming about taking big corporations OFF of government welfare, putting in some regulation and oversight to control wallstreet and the banks, and then supporting the creation of private sector jobs in this country--real jobs with middle class paychecks--by backing the small businesses that actually provide them. Instead we're being told that cops are "elites."

You nailed this.

No. Millions of taxpayers are not kidding you. They don't get the lavish benefits and pensions the public employees do. So, yeah, to hundreds of millions of taxpayers, public employees are an elite class. An elite class they can no longer afford.

Take that up with Obama. That's his baby.

Read Taibbi's latest:
Why Isn't Wall Street in Jail? | Rolling Stone Politics

It basically boils down to this: Obama owes, and is owned by, Wall Street. A couple of key quotes:
"Everything's f**ked up, and nobody goes to jail" - former Senate investigator
"The betrayal that this represents by Obama to everybody is just — we're not ready to believe it," says Budde, a classmate of the president from their Columbia days. "He's really f**king us over like that? Really?"

You nailed this.

Agreed, we have a fighting chance, because the majority of Americans are patriotic and stand for their country and the small business man. This is not Republican or Liberal as they would have you believe but doing whats right for your country and the well being of your country.

The only way to do this is to open up the consciousness of Americans across this country to support policies that contribute to this. The majority of the things made in this country come from overseas, and we need to bring that back. Quoting export numbers in dollar terms does no good when it is for the purchase of planes, military equipment, and generators that have a high price tag, which skew the dollar ration, which goes into the top CEO's pockets, that are in bed with our government to begin with.

There are those now that would have you believe that supporting your country is socialist as they reap the profits and bonuses from outsourcing your jobs, getting rid of unions, and making out on Wall Street through their international investments.

Looking at current trends, if I was a newcomer, I would say that the old republican has turned into a global socialist where they expound the virutues of raising the third world and the democrat siding with Wall Street the new republican.

Of course, their track record tells it all, where they are all in it for more power and control....if your watching

Informed

It's true we don't get those lavish pensions and benefits anymore.

Now why would that be?

They convinced everyone to play into the 401K ponzi scheme, and pensions are no longer an option.

Its funny how they always provide an excuse but I don't recall any company saying they offered a pension and the employee's turned it down.

It does not matter in the long run

Just as they bailed out the banks, and most were against it, they will do as they please.

None of that has anything to do with the fact that the taxpayers can no longer support the expense of lavish public employee salaries and benefits. The taxpayers cannot afford it. That's what will finish off public employee unions. They can protest all they want. It won't matter. The taxpayers are tapped out.

It's the policies of the US government and the ones their in bed with.

I think you can agree with that.

How do we go about cutting the throats of those benefiting from this?

Lets first cut the throats of politicians making out via insider trading, the salary of the US President, the salaries of politicians, like Al Gore, Cheney and all these other crooks and lets see where were at?

ARE is it the case that you are a government shill?
