Lately, I'm seeing an unseen love for private unions from the right wingers. What they heck happened? Or, is this another implementation of "divide and rule"?

The Union, that's who.
Carrier pigeons and smoke signals brought us cell phones, should we fight to keep those around too?

well, i wouldn't call it "love". considering that it is a popular issue right now, i think a distinction between public and private sector unions is appropriate.

...unions are not the issue... PUBLIC UNIONS are....

the inherent conflict of interest that exists here is staggering. I cannot understand why those of you on the left cannot see that.

Appropriate for sake of convenience at the moment, I see. Personally, I would like to see the opinion of Supreme Court justices who voted for Citizen's United case on the subject. What do you think? They will choose to make the distinction?

Because the power tilts the political process significantly in their favor. They are not interested that the taxpayers get equal representation, only that they keep their power over legislators.

It is all about CONTROL.

The unions were a positive thing 80 years ago. It's true, they helped reformed working conditions. However, now it's swung the other way and they need to be reformed or abandoned. Instead of being the victims of strike breakers and poor working conditions the Unions have become the thugs, and now do exactly what they were designed to fight against. They've become the money machine for democrats. Why should labor bosses who represent just 10% of the working population control the nations political direction?

Unions have become a big part of the problem rather than a fix.

Even the founder of the AFL-CIO said we should never unionize public sector jobs.

Exactly, if there was a genuine interest in addressing the fiscal issues of the state. Governor Walker would accept the wage concessions and get on with the business of the state.
