How does that demonstrate anything except that he is a shrewd and rather typical politician?
shrewd??
HA!
He is a typical hack that is trying to con folks
this should have been done years ago, but did he do anything??
Hell, no, this just shows he is desprate
Oh yeah, that rule-of-law president (only when it suit you) has ruled DOMA unconstitutional - I though courts were supposed to do that.
So what does that say about you in the multiple times you've deemed things "unconstitutional"? A quick search revealed that you've used that term 70+ times?
He's obeying the rule of law by not supporting this piece of fundamentalist fascist tripe.
It is indefensible.
Only the Supreme Court can do what so many of you think Obama did here. What he did here is fire himself for 2012.
Actually anybody who can't see that he was trying to get a new group on his side is not able to see that according to the Constitution he can't declare anything unconstitutional without the help of the Supreme Court.
It's blatantly unconstitutional. It was pretty idiotic to defend it in the first place.
Can you tell me the Supreme Court ruling that says what you are saying?
I wonder what will happen if the Republican who takes over the position in 2013 decides he doesn't want to allow the Obama care law to go on. I guess he has set a precedent for that one and he/she can declare his favorite law unconstitutional and it goes by the wayside. I guess you can't see this possibility though.
No, he has tried to do something that the Constitution does not allow him to do. The really funny thing here is that he violated the Constitution and his Attorney General went along with him.
Sorry, but he can't just use executive power to do things like this and always get by with it. I bet that even Kagan wouldn't vote for him on this one. That would be 6 - 3 but I doubt that the other three would vote for him, either.
Actually a law must be repealed by Congress. The President can at his discretion make all kinds of law and have it enforced on his own account...W the minor was the strongest proponent of this...You may want to study your civics again as it is clear that you have no idea how this gov't works.
I think that we must have a link to that claim by you. You don't just pull them out of your butt and fling them at us.
