The spill had a devastating effect in the region, on environment and on livelihood. I guess the demand for oil overrides them all? And based on the premise that drilling more wells will get us out of the threat of rising oil prices.
Total BS.

1. Two judges have ruled against its validity. The moratorium is in contempt of court.

2. Obama said SIX MONTHS. We are past 10 months right now.

3. What have they done about it? Are there any rules in place yet for companies to meet to they can get back to work? No. Why? Because Obama's goal is to get rigs to leave our waters and head to the middle east to benefit them. So far, the rig companies haven't bitten the bait. The Gulf Coast economy continues to take a hit.

What has judges' ruling got to do with why the moratorium were put in place?

There is no moratorium now but the administration is failing to issue the permits.

The moratorium being referenced here lifted by GB also required action by Congress because they had their own ban. The legislation they eventually passed disallowed drilling X miles off shore forcing them into deeper water.

This is just another stupid hateful rant where your ignorance and bigotry has overridden whatever intelligence you may or may not have.

No one government controls international oil or commodity prices. They are based on the availability of supply and the requirements of demand, and the amount of speculative money in the market. The current spike in oil is based on two principle driving forces things; a worldwide economic recovery and the continued growth of emerging markets and their increased energy consumption, and the current political and social unrest in the Middle East which may affect the worldwide supply of crude oil.
On day your complaining about the government is trying to exert too much control over people and the economy now you’re b****thing because it’s not. You are so blinded by your hatred you can’t see your own hypocrisy.

Yep. If you question Obama you're a hateful bigot. I've certainly never heard that before.

No one has asked for intervention, just that Obama's plan be identified. Will you do that for us please as that is the thread topic. Thanks!

You're way too used to lip service. Got a plan that you think will help keep gas prices at $3/gallon forever? Or, would that be too unrealistic because gas prices are bound to go up?
