It is not "lavish and pamered", either. The cost for the "basic" plan is about what my DH pays for our more upgraded plan through a private employer.
Notice that InformedConsent and others aren't responding to your post. The fact that a school system employee is paying between $600 and $1100 a month for a family in healthcare premiums doesn't support their argument that we are all pampered and living lavishly. I'm sure InformedConsent can find something that is deemed too "generous" in the link you provided.

a school system employee is NOT paying that much for HC! Have you NOT been paying attention the past year or so?

They only pay a fraction of what they are getting back. The public pays the majority.

They're a very small segment of the taxpayers that want to extort from the rest much more than the rest are willing or able to pay. AND, they net a substantial gain from doing so.

What about that do you not get?
