Now you want him walking picket lines? SMH...amazing.
He said he would. Did you miss that?

They understand that this isn't just an issue for democrats, and they know that they have friends on this issue who are moderate R's, and R union members. I'm sure the radical end of the R party would LOVE to turn this into a democrat vs. republican debate, but again, that's not what it is.
Those Rs who are union members have seen their dues go straight to the democrat party. They've had enough.

It IS a R vs D issue, since 99.9% of contributions go to the democrat party.

ACSFME and SEIU spent approx $90 million each in the 2010 elections - all for democrats. The unions spent $400 Million in 2008 getting obama elected.

That is because he has a budget crisis of his own and can't say anything knowing the REALITY of it all.
Besides is not close enough to 2012 when he will ask those same unions to vote for him for hope and change.

It IS that issue for a lot of union members. Why should a registered R have their dues go to support the opposing party? That sounds like a dictatorship to me.

Bush said those responsible for 9/11 would hear from us, did you miss that? I didn't see you right wing hypocrites whining about his utter failure to do what he said he'd do.

And no, I'm not trying to change the topic, simply pointing out the typical NeoConfused hypocrisy at work here.

LOL! Just what percentage of any state in a union worker? Unions have been losing members and so have the whining Democrats. B! The people are waking up!

Are you expecting that Obama is going to live up to his promises? Really? I mean, you must be confusing him with and honorable person.

On two points.

First, legitimate union workers are probably going to frown on these overpaid cubicle-workers getting paid far more, under far-more suspect conditions than they are.

Second. Unions long ago quit being a "player" of note in the American political landscape.

Now, if Obama could only laugh his wife's "arse" off or at least a significant part of it, anyway....

That's great in theory, except that campaign contributions don't come from unioin dues.

Dues pay for servicing like representation in grievances, bargaining, etc. I know plenty of union Republicans who choose to opt out of the political funding--it's not mandatory. I know more of them who may be voting democrat after this last round of elections though, so it may not be an issue
