Real unemployment, compared to the governments feel good figure?

What would unemployment numbers be, if our government calculated it like they did during the FDR years?


How can unemployment go down from 9.8% to 9% with only 36,000 jobs added to the kitty?


Something doesn't add up.

Some reports say 17-18% underemployment.

My guess it is way higher than that.

There are areas of states with higher than 50% unemployment, like Michigan. What is in their future?
