It's more accurate to look at how much money each special interest group contributed. That's what condemns Barrett.
In that election, who had more money? That's who is allowed to win. It's a bidding war for control of legislation by special interests not qualified to make decisions in the best interest of all no matter who you elect. THIS is the point. No ones best interest can be served when only those with $$$$$ can influence decisions. ALL parties are completely off point as a result. Not just since Obama, since Reagan when ethical restraints were lifted off commerce unleashing the hounds of hell. Reagan didn't INVENT this, but he did, like liberals defending individual rights too far, unlock the door of the insane asylum to let them freely wreak havoc on civilization.
You mean out of the charitable kindness and patriotic spirit the Koch bros have invested millions in legislative arms for the purpose of taking a loss? .
What? They only gave $43,000 to Walker.
Meanwhile...
the public sector unions gave his Dem opponent: $90,540
...with the Education Industry giving another$179,968
...and civil servants and public officials giving another$231,610
Now what about the trade unions? How much did they give Walker's Dem opponent? $312,959

Are you joking? Do you even understand the value of a guaranteed job (tenure)? And a lifetime defined benefit pension?
If you have a problem with the concept of tenure, are you willing to present the arguments about abolishing it as a practice INCONUS? It would apply to SCOTUS as well. What is the purpose of tenure?
Lifetime defined benefit pension... you mean to abolish all pensions? Why?
I see you were too good to listen to your teachers. Not much has changed for you, has it?
I'm a retired City worker who's whole family are school teachers, and we all realize the unions are ruining the country...
We're educated enough to know bad when we see it...!!
Believe it or not..VOTES is what gets people into office.
They don't "buy their seat".

How can citizens achieve informed consent in any given vote when no matter how hard they try to be informed there are piles of chaff deliberately obscuring truth. When no matter who they vote for is animated as a trojan horse because of the very terms and conditions of employ?
It doesn't matter how honest Ron Paul is when the system is corrupted. It doesn't matter how sincere democrats are when they attend to problems. The back stabbing is built in.

Since when are salaries, pensions and benefits to employees who have worked to earn them considered "profits"?
The money ISN'T THERE. Where do you think it is going to come from?
Quote:
Can you explain why you'd rather see that kind of money pumped into private, for-profit industry than into the household incomes of state workers who have worked for the requisite time to earn those benefits as compensation?
Which sector creates jobs that are not dependent on the government's ability to continue to collect enough tax revenue?
The pains the public employee unions are having to face (and note that this isn't optional - the math doesn't lie), is that tax revenues have declined and 71% of Americans DO NOT want to pay any more of any kind of tax (Gallup).
I'll ask you the same question no lefty has been willing to answer:
71% of Americans don't want to pay more of any type of tax, including property tax.
How do the public employee unions reconcile that with their expectation to be able to demand more from the taxpayers?
