Pray tell us, what should he do, now that we are inextricably involved in an never-ending wars? I'm anxious to hear how you would solve the problem.

You really need to stop living in the PAST. Bush screwed up in both places YES Obama is continuing BOTH mistakes for 2 + years now with no end in sight.
Bush's biggest Idiotic statement was that after WW2 we helped Japan and Germany rebuild, what that Idiot failed to remenber was that the Japanese and Germans after the war was over didn't continue to bomb the hell out of each other as they had a completely different mindset. Most of the Middle East has an Medieval era Islamic mindset, not a progressive Islamic mindset. Instead of thinking out their actions they rely on the Imans messages of how Allah would have wanted things to be in ages long gone.
Time to pull out of both places as it is obvious that they enjoy killing each other regardless of who is there, just ask the Russians who learned the hard way.
Weren't the Democrats crying about Bush's handling of both wars and now they're silent Hypocrites with Obama in office. The US has never learned from it's past mistakes by propping up weak, corrupt Governments and Obama is continuing the tradition of past Presidents(Republican AND Democrat).
No amount of rhetoric is going to change the Tribal/Religous divisions in both Countries. If you haven't noticed the only Arab/Muslim states with stability are those ruled by Kings and Dictators as that is presently the only way to keep their populations in check, that's the reality of the present and hopefully the future is different.
Iraq and Afghanistan's news is always the same.. Roadside bombs/IEDS , suicide bombers and continued attacks , even from security forces we trained= Dead American soldiers. This was the news yesterday and will be the news for tomorrow and as long as we're there.
It is not Obama's fault that we went in there, but it IS his fault for why we are still there. He needs to make a hard choice and withdraw, regardless of what war hawk republicans say.
If we withdraw tomorrow or 10 years from now the results will be the same, more fighting and another dictator. The only difference will be more American assets squandered and more American lives lost. Our allies have realized this and that's why they have withdrawn some of their support.
Wars are ugly and the present PC way the US fights wars is innefective when the enemy fights and kills indiscriminately and cowardly while our soldiers are held to a "Strategic" way of battle. If the US fought wars like they did in WW2 by carpet bombing rebel areas and all out assaults on cities and towns this would have been over along time ago. In past wars high civilian deaths were unfortunate and common, but those situations were resolved alot quicker than the slow bleed we have now in American lives and dollars. Wars with illiterate religous radicals cannot be fought effectively with the "Rules and PR campaigns " we have today.
Until Washington DC realizes that propaganda and kiddie gloves is not the way to go we will continue to be bogged down in this quagmire. War is not a video game where you try and save as many people as possible, it's about eliminating an enemy threat through destruction of enemy lives, command and resources. As long as these things remain intact there will be no concluson in sight.
