Do you ever hear people say they don't like politics? Talk with them further, they think that in order to be into politics you have to know all the buzz words and characters "flerbaggers", "Dumbya", etc. Plus they think you need to know all about Obamas birth records, Bushs’ military and education records, or "What Rush said" etc.

That is not politics, it is the equivalent of talking about a sports team.
