On a poll of 1000 people

There was no way Reagan was the best President in US
History. If you look at the facts - it would be quite the
opposite (too lengthy to list) I'm sure he was a nice guy and I felt for Nancy at his funeral. But, Ronny should have stayed
a spokesman for GE. Oh wait - they fired him

No, he busted the budget with spending, gave amnesty to illegal immigrants, and busted unions...These seemingly disparate things all screwed Americans in favor of large corporations and are probably a large part of why real wages have risen so little, if not fallen, since 1980.

because he kicked off one really big debt bubble. The one that is resulting in the economic depression we are having now. The first one after the Great one. And it looks to be bigger than the great one if we aren't careful.

I thought he was great when I was younger and I did vote for him but now that I know all the stuff he is responsible for and the underhanded things he did, my vote is a big no.

He like Kennedy was a fiscal conservative and doubled the money to the treasury by increasing productivity when he cut the income tax rate.
He had a little problem with Democrats breaking their word and increasing spending 1.7 dollars for every new dollar that came in. Has been a habit ever since.

Of course he was a great president. The poll that he appeared at the top of was The Greatest President. I don't know if I believe he was the greatest but top 5 easily.

Great in comparison to many, and great in comparison to what is in office today.
