You are clearly lying to my face. I've seen this trend with Hispanics: sympathy for the devil/loyal to their masters.

Actually that's not what some of us take issue with. It's the fact that she's against affirmative action but knowingly took advantage of it. That's hypocritical if you ask me.
Besides, scholarships have nothing to do with affirmative action. Affirmative action is a federal program, scholarships are mostly private. Why she brought up affirmative action in the first place is beyond me.
I am a minority. So what I said is not offensive. All the Hispanics I know are in denial.
Back to the topic. The majority of academic scholarships are not based on race or ethnic criteria which is how it should be most of the time: those that are based on minority criteria is because minorities are seen as not being rich enough to afford an education which is true (they are often poorer than whites): sometimes they are even discriminated against in academic scholarships because of their minority status. So it makes sense for these private scholarships to offer those to minorities.
The fact that these white people want to have academic scholarships exclusively for whites is absurd and insensitive but it's not horrible and we just have to move on with our lives.
