Who cares? There's nothing controversial about this.

I am a minority and do not have any problems with this... but again I don't believe in affirmative action

Those are two completely different issues.

Why? There are scholarships exclusivelly for minorities. White people eventually will become a minority.

(BTW I am not white, I just feel like is unfair, and they are related issues. In my MBA program I know some white males that were not accepted and I know they have better grades and GMAT scores than .... me!)

What I find odd is that I could have applied and possibly been accepted to this scholarship as well as Black scholarships. I'm 50% White and 50% Black.
Why is that odd? If you are 50% Black you can take advantage of 'Black' scholarships, why not 'White' scholarships for being 50% White? (Unless you subscribe to the racist 'one-drop-rule')

Take advantage of being biracial since it seems to offer the best of both worlds, at least in some circumstances.

Agreed. It creates more problems.

Sorry, it is their money and they can give it to whoever they want.

If a incompetent manager does not hire anyone competent, then that is his/her choice. Can you sell him/her for not hiring you because you are competent?

Texas Nonprofit Gives Scholarships to White Males - ABC News
Nothing wrong with that. They guy founded a non-profit organization and the funding is from donations. I do not see a problem witht that. He felt there are whites that do need financial help. In other words he saw what he thought was a problem, stood up and took action just as people did for other groups, take care.

Wait, six pages in and what, no hand-wringing and vehement protest by the non-white coalition on CD? No act of Congress to put a stop to this travesty? No mobilization of anti-racist activists to put an end to this far-reaching injustice? Surely the OP would have wanted at least some resistance to this idea, something to lead to the massive controversy he desired to stem from this article.

Alas, it has become quite obvious that the vast majority of us simply do not give a care about what some disillusioned white dude in Texas does with his money. I give this issue the rest of this week before it quietly slithers out of the plane of mild amusement and into the profound depths of irrelevance.
