Yeah, I know, nevertheless I suggest that everybody on both sides of the issue read this link as it exposes the duplicity and downright double dealing agenda of Scott Walker. If he knew this to be the case he is a down right, baldfaced liar to the people of Wisconsin. If he didn't know it then he has no reason to be gov of the state. I rest my case.

You don't understand? That's exactly what I'm talking about. As soon as the poll names names, Obama is favored. So who is this generic Republican?

Pollster: Who would you vote for, Romney or Obama?
John Doe: Obama.

Pollster: Who would you vote for, Obama, or the [unnamed] Republican candidate?
John Doe: The Republican.
Pollster: Ok, we just found out the Republican is Romney.
John Doe: But I hate him!

I read it and found it to be nothing but smoke and mirrors.

Sorry, but that just a simple fact.

Oh, that CBS/NYT poll? Hugely skewed towards the democrats of course.

A ten point CHASM between the dems and reps - totally defective, especially since the national party ID generic ballot has republicans up.
Can't rep you enough for this. Thanks.

Until they have to choose a Republican they can't stand, and that's my point.

Which of the candidates that consistently poll lower than Obama will become this magical generic candidate who will make a voter reverse their support from 'no' to 'yes'? Note that currently there isn't ANY contender who is polling higher than Obama.

Generic candidates always poll better than actual candidates. However, when you are actually naming candidates, Obama pretty much leads everyone in every poll.
