Your adult son has nothing to do with you casually calling for others to put their ass on the line for what? Oil?

It's time we focus on solving problems in the US and quit attempting to play world police.

I know it sounds quick and easy, but I think in reality that it's much more complicated than that.

I was reading about that very topic the other day and it would take a few weeks at the best.

Exactly! A typical Bush supporter...Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld chickenhawk tactics.

Concerning the OP...if there was anything monetarily in it for Bush&Cronies, Inc, they would stick their greedy big noses into the mix. Cheney would already be having secret meetings dividing up the spoils of war.

I've already stated that it wouldn't be for the oil except for what would happen to the entire world economy (there's more nations in the world than the USA who would also suffer).

I'm talking about doing it to help the PEOPLE and cut down the bloodshed.

The refugees are piling up at the border. Mercenaries are murdering unarmed people.

They want Democracy......so spare some Spec Ops and help them!

So your plan is to simply allow refugees to die and innocent unarmed civilians to be murdered?

How compassionate!

Where does the Constitution mandate WE are responsible for bringing democracy to other countries?

We have more than enough problems of our own right now.

The time to go after Gaddaffi was when his involvement in the bombing of PanAm 103 became known, we allowed him to buy his way free of guilt instead.

Do you not know there are very preventable deaths in the US everyday?

Why is it people are so willing to go halfway around the world to help others while the mere mention of helping Americans elicits cries of SOCIALISM! ?

There is no mandate of course. But there was no mandate to get involved in Kosovo or Beirut either.

You seem to be very nonchalant about the plight of the refugees and innocent civilians.

Sending in a small force of Spec Ops isn't overextending ourselves at all. Especially if they get a no-fly zone and can call in precision strikes.

I have no problem helping those who cannot help themselves or are in dire straights through no fault of their own.

But I hate to break this to you.....there will ALWAYS be preventable deaths and there will ALWAYS be people who are poorer than the next guy.

Those who wait for the government to bail them out of trouble need a lesson in self-preservation.

As you seem very nonchalant about involving the US in another armed conflict.

And WHO will be responsible for maintaining a NO-FLY zone?

It will never cease to amaze me how willing the right is to conduct the redistribution of wealth they constantly whine about just as long as that redistribution doesn't take place domestically
