My commute is only one mile but I work with people that commute 50+ miles. If people lived closer to their jobs they wouldn't be as affected by high gas prices.

Welcome to the New World Order comrade. It would be less frustrating if we could blame all this on one man, like Obama, but this would be happening no matter who is in the oval office. It's beyond Washington's ability to change the course of the world's economies. The forces that make presidents and kings, and control the world's financial system have determined it's time to bring America down. When we are really hurting through civil disorder, high prices, unemployment and high crime, we will be offered a deal exchanging our basic freedoms for subsistence and "security".

I'm glad I live right in the city (streetcar suburb) close enough to everything that my car regularly springs forth cobwebs as I ignore it for days on end, and still shop, go to pubs and restaurants or even downtown to a ballgame by walking, or take a bus (commie-like as it is). So, it looks like the cobwebs may be getting a bit more dense.

Let me pose a pertinent question: Since Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morrocco, Yemen, and Bahrain combined represent no more than 2% of our oil imports, how does that equate to a 30% increase in cost to us? Is anyone else paying any attention to what is being done to us?

Well now, you don't say. Well explain to us Pres. Bush's war on energy when we were paying $4/gallon & he didn't do a damn thing about it! Stop blaming Pres. Obama for every damn thing that happens while giving the previous administration a free pass. Sorry, some of us just aren't stupid enough to buy your twisted, idiotic right wing nonsense.

I would love to bike to work but it isn't feasible currently.

But as of now the gas prices haven't affected me. If gas goes north of $4.00 I might start thinking about it.

I personally feel the media, per usual, is fueling (excuse pun) the frenzie. I mean really 60 cents a gallon in a month is not that high. There are always fluctuations.

I remember in 2008 gas was higher than it is now.
But it came back down. I think all this attention given to it makes it go even higher.

I say chill. Wait and see what happens and don't panic.

Obama doesn't set the price of oil and gas. Speculators do.

Remember when we bailed out Wall Street? Higher prices for gas are the Street's way of saying "thank you, suckers".

Oh, they will only get worse. But it is high gas prices, is what makes Obama happy, then it will make all the little lefties happy too. Never mind the airline tickets, cost of clothing, milk, etc, etc.
Clean energy is the least of our worries, right now, but Obama much rather spend money on these less useful roller skate cars, than help the economy get better.
You'll see more people stealing gas again. But hey, who cares, right!
Maybe I should steal gas and blame Obama. Then I would be telling the truth!
