Doesn't bother me. Wear what you want. Not my business. Not my style either, but Mr. T didnt do too bad. LMAO
I see this whole thing much more as a class issue than a race issue.
Because "white trash" people are pretty embarrassing.
In fact, white trash are worse, because they can't even point to a history of racial oppression to "justify' their lack of class.
At least poor Mexicans HAVE a culture, and it seems to make a positive difference in their communities.
Of course it really IS whitey's fault that African-Americans had their original culture taken from them, but sheesh, one would think they would want something better than bling as a culture.
I don't mean to generalize of course, I'm really just talking about the current popular AA youth culture in some of its aspects, not AA culture in general.

racial oppression doesn't justify lack of class. Nothing justifies that. People should have pride in themselves, if they do they won't be lacking so bad in the class department.

Which makes it all the more interesting to me when other races adopt this style of expression. At this point, it's not popular AA youth culture, but rather a certain segment of hip-hop culture...this style is embraced by many different races including whites, blacks and Asians.

I don't see bringing it up for discussion as being negative. I'm sorry if you automatically assume that. It's your call, after all.

Well whatever the hell it is, I don't like it. Damn teenagers on my lawn.
Chris Rock said it best. There are two kinds of black people. Whenever one type wants to have fun the other type comes in and ruins it..
