30th of September 2007, Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett, Sam Harris and Christopher Hitchens round table discussion.
This film is dated but no less relevant then than it is now. Religiously squeamish are going to have a hard time listening but I think it better they hear the criticism on merits only and decide for themselves what is sincerely motivated. 2 parts= 2 hrs.

I think Hitchens reference to extreme Zionist factions using Biblical text to instigate prophecy is a valid observation, but his failure to recognize there are Christians (or faux Christians) engaged in the exact same behavior to (I believe) 'kill religion' by ending the book. IE deliver revelations in secular existence.
I don't think these atheists see the disrespect of naming this talk the 4 horsemen. They inadvertently blinded themselves to those 'creating' a 4 horsemen situation. Certainly the argument could be made I'm falling into a trap of superstitious thinking, or even paranoia, but stepping back objectively (minus the automatic presumption the 'hand of God' is in play) these large scale actions nations are animated is downright eerie. I'm tending to believe these are man made orchestrations fed through mass media intent on confronting Christianity itself, but not designed by the atheists in this round table discussion. That's why they can't see it but are likely the ones to be blamed for it by zealots engaging dragnet indictments.
Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Clinton white horse, "conquest" AKA globalization.
Bush red horse, "war" AKA "Holy war", Afghanistan/ Iraq.
Obama black horse, "famine"- financial global meltdowns first casualties were the least of our brothers in 3rd world nation.
Quote:
John hears a voice, unidentified but coming from among the four living creatures, that speaks of the prices of wheat and barley, also saying "and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine." This suggests that the black horse's famine is to drive up the price of grain but leave oil and wine supplies unaffected.
This change is being driven by two primary factors; Climate Change and resource depletion. The latter, resource depletion, covers a multitude of direct and indirect problems. Water shortages (also linked to Climate Change), peak oil (which drives up biofuel production — in the US this year, almost one third of all corn produced was converted to ethanol — as well as damaging fertiliser and pesticide production) and a looming shortage of essential nutrients such as phosphorous. All of these threaten to significantly impact the quantity of food being produced on our planet.
To be determined the Pale horse. "death" My theory- the malevolent aspects of libertarian power plays dominating/ confounding the GOP power vacuum.
