If "Obamacare" is a job killing bill, then why did we see the best jobs report in about 3 years just yesterday? The economy added 192,000 jobs and out of those added, 34,000 were in the health care field.

Only parts have kicked in. Also don't forget that of that number of new jobs created 112K of them were estimated by the BLS as new business creation which can't be verified.

Because there is nothing. Obamacare has not fully kicked in.
I can see the mandated coverage if you have 25 or more employees could have an effect on small business. They may purposely keep the number of employees at 24 to be exempt.

The multi-nationals/big corporations just pass the costs on to employees in the form of increased premiums which many saw last year when their benefits enrollments happened for 2011.

What were you looking for..mass firings because of something that is not in effect and is in the court system right now ?

If healthcare costs go up 10% more than they would have gone up without Obamacare, (per the CBO), where do you think that extra 10% is coming from? Hint, it comes out of the same budgets as payroll.. So if they are removing more, which leaves less money for payroll, they have to hire less..

As for how they can add jobs, How do you know they wouldnt have added more jobs without Obamacare? You dont.. Its another imaginary "millions of jobs created" due to the stimulus bill..

Wow, so many assumptions made in so few lines of text.

Maybe employers would be hiring at rates 2-3X's what they are and not sitting on record cash reserves if they knew Obamacare would be found unconstitutional.

"Of all sad words of tongue and pen, the saddest are these, 'it might have been' ". Another descent into fantasy here. We don't know what would have happened. It's pure speculation.

FWIW, the healthcare sector always adds jobs. Even during the worst of the recession, healthcare was a field that did not turn negative.

Please. It's not like employers went on a hog-wild hiring spree when Obamacare was passed, did they? If Obamacare is such a GREAT thing for businesses, why haven't they been on huge hiring sprees since last March? If ANYTHING, it is hampering hiring and slowing the rate of recovery. This entire thread is retarded.

The recession is multifactorial.
